Program Description The rule of law. It's the backbone of our country. It's what ensures we all enjoy the same access to our freedoms and rights, roles and responsibilities. In many ways, the law field is the most crucial institution in the country. If being a part of this prestigious career intrigues you, Fanshawe's Law Clerk program will provide vital access to the dynamic training needed to be a proud serving member of the law field. You'll begin the program by developing a solid foundation in business law combined with practical law clerk training that will give you diverse skills for diverse career options. You'll also study civil litigation, corporate commercial, debtor and creditor rights, real estate, landlord and tenant, estate administration, and family law. When you graduate, you'll have learned everything you need to start your career off right, including intensive training with leading software and online applications used by law firms and legal departments in Canada. As a graduate of the Law Clerk program and in combination with a minimum three consecutive years in qualifying employment, you'll have satisfied the educational course and exam requirements for associate level membership in the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
